Born and raised in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Emmy grew up in a Congregational church, and years later met her husband Mike in the same church. Emmy holds four degrees, a Bachelor of Art Education from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a Master of Science in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Administration from Marquette University, and a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the Episcopal Divinity School. Emmy was ordained as a pastor here at First Church of Squantum in 2004 where she serves as co-pastor with her husband, Mike.

Emmy is the proud parent of two adult children and the ‘Nana’ to two grandchildren. Adult education, rug hooking, knitting, reading and keeping up with her dog, Flurry, fill her leisure time.
